Fiji customs and clearance for yachts, step by step

Fiji customs and entry requirements for a yacht: a long advance notice, biosecurity, and a yacht-agent rule from August 2026. We haven’t cleared in yet. Official rules last checked 3 October 2026. Our own notes get added after we clear in, late October 2026.

By Steve and Meghan, SV Some Tuesday. Where are we now?

We haven’t cleared in at Fiji. Not at Suva, Lautoka, Vuda, Denarau, Savusavu, Levuka or Rotuma. Everything below is the official process. Nothing here is a story about a dock we’ve stood on.

Heads up

This is best efforts, not a guarantee. Rules change, officials change, and two boats clearing into the same harbor the same week can have pretty different experiences. We do our best by combining three things: research (reading the official sites so you don’t have to), automation (a tool that fills in the forms for you), and personal experience (what actually happened to us, with dates). It’s all in one guide and one forms tool. It won’t make clearing in effortless, but it should make it a whole lot easier. If something’s different when you get there, tell us and we’ll fix it for the next boat.

1. Fiji customs: email the advance notice

What
Form C2-C, the advance notification for yachts. It’s the long one.
When
At least 48 hours before arrival.
Official
C2-C (PDF)
Where it goes
yachtsreport@frcs.org.fj

2. Bringing pets: Suva, Lautoka, Vuda, Denarau and Savusavu

What
The Biosecurity Authority of Fiji wants the pet application at least 5 working days before you leave the last port, if animals are aboard. Dogs and cats on a yacht stay aboard under a bond. The air-import application is not the one you send unless BAF asks.
Ports with pets
BAF’s yacht list is Suva, Lautoka, Vuda, Denarau and Savusavu. Levuka is a customs port and not a pet port. Rotuma is on the Customs form and not on BAF’s yacht list. Levuka and Rotuma need a written answer from BAF before you arrive with pets.
Our experience
Coming after we clear in.

3. Check in with Customs, Immigration, Health and Biosecurity

What
Clear Customs, Immigration, Health and Biosecurity at a port of entry. The forms tool also fills passenger arrival cards, one per person, and the statement by the master or owner.
Agents
Fiji has required a licence for yacht agents since 1 August 2026. Some Tuesday, LLC is not a customs agent or a yacht agent. The tool never files, signs or sends anything. You do.
Our experience
Coming after we clear in (late October 2026).

The honest fine print

Some Tuesday, LLC sells information and a do-it-yourself forms tool. We never file, submit, sign or send paperwork for anyone. We’re not a customs agent, yacht agent or lawyer, and nothing here is legal advice.

Everything here is best efforts. We combine research from the official sources, automation that fills in the forms for you, and our own experience. Rules change, officials change, and every boat’s experience in each country will be a little different, including from ours. Before you rely on anything here, check it against the official links and with the officials themselves. You’re responsible for checking, signing and submitting your own forms.

Cleared in recently? Tell us what happened

Fees, produce or meat taken by biosecurity, pet rules, office hours, or anything we got wrong. A short note is enough.

We read these before anything is published. Don’t send passport numbers, crew lists, or other personal documents. This form doesn’t ask for them. How cruiser reports are handled
