Captain Steve and First Mate Meg (Meghan Fabulous) are a dynamic couple who built successful careers before setting sail on a bold new chapter — circumnavigating the globe aboard their catamaran, Some Tuesday.
Steve Dunlap
Steve is a seasoned executive with over 35 years of experience in fintech and wealth management. A Virginia native with deep roots in Williamsburg and the Tidewater area, Steve spent much of his young adulthood in Northern Virginia. His career later took him to Malvern, Pennsylvania, and then Manhattan Beach, California in 2013. His love for the water began during summers on North Carolina’s Outer Banks, and he learned to sail in Annapolis, Maryland.
He is the proud father of two sons: Hank, who lives in Dallas and is building a career in eCommerce and apparel, and Carter, who lives in Los Angeles, studies auto and diesel mechanics, and pursues his passion for music and entertainment.
Steve held numerous leadership roles across major Wall Street firms and innovative startups. He served as President & COO of FolioDynamix (acquired by Envestnet in a $195 million deal), ran the wealth management business at Cetera Financial Group (acquired for $1.15 billion), and held senior positions at other leading financial institutions. During the dot-com era, he helped build the venture-backed startup AnnuityNet (later Finetre Corporation). He has also served on the boards of multiple financial technology companies.
Meghan
A native of Southern California, Meghan has been designing since she was four years old, learning to sew from her mother. With a laid-back, bohemian spirit and a passion for “wearable art,” she built Meghan Fabulous into a brand celebrated for bold, vibrant, and joyful designs that help women feel confident and beautiful.
Now that they are sailing full-time, Meghan is thrilled to be creating art purely for her own satisfaction and joy, free from commercial pressures. She has returned to her creative roots, rediscovering the pure pleasure of art, design, and vibrant color that first ignited her passion as a young girl — a deeply personal reconnection that has brought her immense fulfillment on this new journey.
Setting Sail
Steve and Meghan met in 2018 and quickly bonded over their shared love of adventure and the ocean. After years of building their fashion company together, they made the intentional decision to close the business on their own terms and set sail in late 2025 on a five-year circumnavigation with their two pugs, Mr. Pickles and Colonel Mustard.
Their journey is about freedom, faith, exploring God’s creation, and sharing the beauty of the world with others — and they hope you’ll join them as they share their adventures on social media.
