French Polynesia

NoForeignLand is absolutely indispensable, and we think it is fantastic. No cruiser should be without it. We use it constantly. This page is a supplement to the app. See this area on NoForeignLand · Some Tuesday on NoForeignLand · Captain Steve on NoForeignLand · First Mate Meg on NoForeignLand.

We cleared in at the gendarmerie in Taiohae, Nuku Hiva, on 30 April 2026. We have not cleared in at Tahiti, Moorea, or any other outer-island gendarmerie. Tahiti, for us, was the vet visit for the pugs, at the anchorage south of Marina Taina. That call to Papeete Port Control was a port call, not a second inward clearance.
